Norton: Firefighters attend chimney blaze in west Suffolk

Firefighters attended a chimney fire in west Suffolk this evening.

A crew from Elmswell was called to reports of a blaze in The Street, Norton, just after 7pm.

“On arrival crews found a small fire in the chimney with a wood burning stove at the base,” a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said.

The fire was under control by about 7.30pm.
