One person rescued from single-vehicle crash in Long Melford overnight by four fire crews

Four fire crews were sent to a single-vehicle crash in Long Melford last night.

The incident happened in Bridge Street at around 3.30am.

The crews, two from Sudbury and one each from Long Melford and Halstead in Essex, were sent following reports of a crash with persons trapped.

On arrival they found one vehicle was involved with one person trapped inside.

Glass management and vehicle stabilisation were undertaken to rescue the person by 4.21am.

The casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.
