BAIT diggers who flout a voluntary code may cause the introduction of a bylaw to limit damage to mudflats at Ipswich’s Orwell Country Park and at Stutton on the Stour, conservationists have warned.
The voluntary code of conduct came in three years ago to establish seasonal limits to bait diggers by closing the mudflats between November and April each year.
