Two men have been arrested and released pending further investigations after police found drugs and weapons in a vehicle near Stansted Airport.
Officers stopped a Renault Espace at about midnight on Friday, August 18, near the Birchanger service station on the M11.
They searched the vehicle and found cannabis, a knuckle duster and an axe handle.
Meanwhile, the curtain sides of a number of lorries parked nearby appeared to have been damaged or tampered with.
Essex Police officers arrested a 34-year-old man, from Basildon, and a 19-year-old man, from Southend.
The men were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and possession of Class B or C drugs. They were also arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft.
Essex Police said both men had since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
