Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14 year old girl was followed by a man on a bicycle this morning in Stowmarket.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14 year old girl was followed by a man on a bicycle this morning in Stowmarket.

The teen was carrying out her paper round in Ipswich Street at around 7am.

She noticed a male sat on a bike. As she passed him, he began to follow her and cycled behind her quite closely.

He is described as white, middle aged with short, brown hair and of a skinny build.

He was wearing jeans and a hooded top.

The bicycle had a blue flashing light on.

The paper girl fled into a friends house in Temple Road at which point the man on the bike cycled off.

The girl was unhurt in the incident but police are eager to hear from anyone who might have any information or who saw anything suspicious.
