EMERGENCY services were called to the A12 after a car was in collision with the central reservation.
The accident happened as the blue Volkeswagen Golf travelled on the northbound stretch, close to the East Bergholt turning, around 5.20pm yesterday.
The East of England Ambulance Service, fire service and police all attended and one person was taken to Ipswich Hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.
Earlier at 5pm firefighters from Hadleigh and Colchester were called to a small grass fire at the same location. They extinguished the blaze by 5.20pm.
