Bury Magistrates' Court
A Suffolk man will appear in court today charged with murder following an incident in Newmarket last month.
Peter Crotty, 33, of Nimbus Way, Newmarket, was originally charged with causing grievous bodily harm after 51-year-old Adrian Williams, from Soham, suffered head injuries after falling to the ground in High Street on the evening of December 27.
Police were called to the scene, near the junction with The Avenue, at about 9.55pm and Mr Williams was taken to hospital. He died on Tuesday.
Crotty was subsequently charged with murder and is now due to appear at West Suffolk Magistrates’ Court this morning.
