Amazing photo of Milky Way galaxy above East Anglian beach

A photographer has captured a mesmerising photo of the Milky Way galaxy above a beach.
Jon Allard captured the stunning the picture above the beach at Brightlingsea, in Essex, on Monday, April 25.
Mr Allard said he had been planning on capturing the Milky Way above the beach for a short while.
He added: "I planned this shot for a while and noticed that the skies was very clear that night, I left my house at half 12 at night and got to Brightlingsea for about 1am.
"I set up and was shooting with the camera until 3am.
"I was happy with how the pictures were looking on the back of the camera and finally got home about 4am."
Mr Allard also managed to capture an amazing picture of the Milky Way above the Aldeburgh.

He said he felt "proud" after he took the image from the seafront, by the iconic Scallop sculpture.
