A man was attacked by a pair of robbers after catching them stealing his power tools in a Suffolk village.
The victim, in his 30s, was punched in the head after he confronted two men in The Green, Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, who took two power drills and drove away in a dark coloured people carrier – possibly a Vauxhall Zafira.
He ran after the vehicle and managed to take back a number of the tools but one of the robbers retaliated and punched the man in the head – the victim also suffered scrapes, cuts and bruises to his legs.
Police want to speak to witnesses to the robbery, which happened at around 10.10pm on Friday November 30.
Witnesses to the incident and anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting crime reference 37/69398/18 or via their online form.
Detectives are urging motorists to lock their vans and ensure all valuables are removed from them when parked.
