A HIT and run driver whose vehicle was in collision with a cyclist is being hunted by police.

An urgent appeal for witnesses was this afternoon made after the collision on the A11 London Road roundabout in Thetford.

The cyclist was knocked to the ground following the collision with a red hatchback vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

A spokesman for Norfolk police said: The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and drove off towards Elveden on the A11.

“Officers would like to hear from the driver involved or from anyone who witnessed the collision who may have information that might be useful to the investigation.”
