A WOMAN was left traumatised after being indecently assaulted by a man as two other men watched.

The 56-year-old woman had been to a shop in St Johns Road, Clacton, and parked her car in nearby Woodrows Lane.

Det Sgt Julian Coles, of Clacton police, said the woman was walking back to her vehicle when she became aware of three men close by.

One of the men pushed her into her car and then indecently assaulted her.

The other two men did not join on but also did not stop the attack.

The victim managed to kick the assailant away and drove home where she alerted police.

Det Sgt Coles said she was "traumatised" but physically uninjured.

The attacker is described as a white male, aged in his late twenties, with an obese build and shaved head.

He had a chubby face, large bushy eyebrows and a large mouth with thick lips and he smelt unpleasant. He wore a long sleeved navy top.

His companions were described as between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information about the attack, which happened at 8pm on Monday is asked to contact Det Sgt Cole on 01255 221312.
