The incident took place at some time between 3am and 3.45am on April 1 in High Street in Haverhill.

The victim – a woman ages in her 20s – was sitting on a bench outside the Select Fashion store when she was approached by a man who tried to grab her handbag.

The man also got hold of the victim’s arm and tried to kiss her.

The woman was not harmed during the incident.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid 30s, skinny build and has dark hair.

He was wearing a black leather jacket and spoke in a foreign language.

Officers are asking that anyone who believes they know who the man is, or who has any information about the incident, to contact the Incident and Crime Management Hub on 101 quoting the reference 18357/18.
