A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested in connection with an assault on a 15-year-old girl in Gippeswyk Park at the weekend.
Police investigating the assault on the girl in the incident in the Ipswich park on Saturday night said they made the arrest last night.
The teenager is currently in custody at Ipswich police station where he is being interviewed by detectives.
Officers are also continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have seen the 15-year-old with the offender to come forward.
They are also keen to hear from a Good Samaritan who came to her assistance.
