IPSWICH police have issued an E-fit likeness of a male they want to trace following a sex assault on a woman in the town two weeks ago.

The incident occurred on Bramford Road at about 12.15am on Sunday December 7.

The 31-year-old female was walking towards town, had gone under the railway bridge at the junction with Sproughton Road and was on the same side of the road as the Red Lion public house when a male cycled up to her and touched her inappropriately.

He then exposed himself to her before cycling off.

The male is described as white, aged mid teens, 5 foot 8 inches tall, medium build, with dark red or brown spiky gelled hair and was wearing a black hooded top and combat style trousers.

He was riding a mountain bike and rode off towards Bramford.

If you think you recognise the male from the E-FIT likeness or description, or if you have any information about this incident, please contact PC Mark Emsden at the Ipswich Neighbourhood Response Team on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
