Police in Ipswich have targeted a series of drug dealing ‘hot spots’ in the town centre.
Officers in the Ipswich Central ward identified the key areas where dealing is common and carried out extra patrols to reassure residents, in an effort to crack down on the problem.
One of the ‘hot spots’ identified by the force was the area around St Helen’s Primary School, while police erected a new CCTV camera to monitor the local vicinity.
Two people were also arrested following a successful Class A drugs warrant executed in Bond Street, where officers recovered both Class A drugs and weapons.
In addition, police set about cracking down on violent crime by installing a knife bin in Bramford Road, near to Stopford Court.
