Two Woodbridge brothers have been awarded this year’s Woodbridge Town Council Potter Community Cup.

Kevin and Cliff Baldock from the Royal British Legion will be awarded the cup and the £50 prize at the next meeting at the council’s next meeting in March.

The brothers were recognised for their work at the town’s remembrances services where they are Parade Marshall and Assistant Parade Marshall respectively.

In total seven nominations were received for this year’s cup which recognises an outstanding contribution to the life or name of the town in the past year.

The nominations were whittled down by the town’s councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night.

The brothers will follow on from last year’s winners, the New Horizons Club which support older people who live in Woodbridge.

The group was saved by the community from potential closure back in 2015.
