FELIXSTOWE: Around 650 people in the Felixstowe area suffered a power cut this morning.
EDF Energy Networks engineers managed to restore power to almost all properties within an hour, and are currently working as quickly as is safely possible to reconnect the final six properties in the Kirton and Falkenham area.
The blackout happened at 7.49am due to a fault on a high voltage cable.
The first customers were back on by 7.52am with power restored gradually to the remaining customers.
“We realise how difficult it can be to be without power and apologise to our customers for any inconvenience” said an EDF spokeswoman.
