An underground cable fault has left 216 UK Power Networks customers without electricity in the Woodbridge area.
The company said engineers were working hard to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
People living in the IP12 4 postcode district are likely to be affected by the area-wide outage, caused by an underground electricity cable fault on the high voltage network.
The power cut was reported just after 8am and is expected to continue until between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
