A professional dogwalker from Ipswich hosted a sponsored dog walk on Saturday to raise money for the Blue Cross.

Tracy Root, aka The Suffolk Fairy Dogmother, gathered friends, clients and fellow dog-owners for her annual charity stroll.

The group of walkers met in Tuddenham Fountain car park and walked along the Fynn valley with their beloved pets.

Tracy, who runs her own dog walking service from her home in Ipswich, was joined on the walk by her own two dogs, Ruff and Tumble.

Tracy said: “The turnout was wonderful and we held a raffle and raised £320.”

The Blue Cross Suffolk works to rehome unwanted dogs and cats as well as small pets and horses.

Based in Ipswich, Blue Cross Suffolk also has a team of volunteers that offer short-term foster care for the pets and who can look after animals recovering from operations, illnesses or very young kittens or puppies.
