VISITORS to an East Anglian Zoo can look forward to the unusual spectacle of Rhinos playing football with pumpkins.
Colchester Zoo is appealing to the public to donate the seasonal produce to help with its to create unusual activities for the animals during the “Halloween Shriek Week” celebrations.
Any visitors or local shops with a pumpkin or two going spare are asked to contact the zoo and their frightening fruit will then be used to create a range of activities for animals from the elephants to the marmosets.
Pumpkins can be carved or whole so long as they are in good condition.
Visitors during Shriek Week will be able to see all sorts of animals stomping, climbing, swinging, kicking, sniffing and even eating the traditional Halloween fare.
The zoo's Halloween celebrations begin on Saturday and run until November 2.
