AN 18-year old has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student at a prominent Suffolk school.
AN 18-year old has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student at a prominent Suffolk school.
The alleged incident, which occurred at the beginning of the month, was said to have taken place outside of school hours.
The 18-year-old, also thought to be a pupil at the school, has been quizzed by detectives and is currently on police bail while enquiries continue.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said: “We received an allegation of a sexual assault at a school in Suffolk.
“An 18-year-old male from Gosport has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released on police bail to return to Ipswich police station on August 13.”
The identity of the school cannot be revealed for legal reasons.
