FORMER Colchester United manager Steve Wignall has launched his autobiography You Can Have Chips.
The book was unveiled at an event at the Ramada Inn in Colchester on Friday night and the following day Mr Wignall signed copies for fans at a bookshop in the town.
The signing at Waterstones in the town's High Street was “quiet”, said assistant manager Helen Wood but she added this gave Mr Wignall time to chat to every fan.
“It may have been a combination that people stayed away as they thought it would be busy because it was the day before Mother's Day but also the nice weather took people elsewhere,” she said.
Book signings for You Can Have Chips will also take place on April 4 from noon-2pm at Red Lion Bookshop in Colchester High Street and the town's other Waterstones store in Culver Square at noon-2pm on April 11.
