EAST ANGLIA: There were major problems today on the main line to and from London after overhead wires were damaged in the Romford area.
Trains between the region and London Liverpool Street were cancelled or delayed by up to 50 minutes throughout the morning.
Engineers from Network Rail were working on the problem and hoping to have trains running normally by lunchtime.
