Delays have been caused by a signal fault
Trains running between Westerfield and Ipswich are being delayed due to a broken down freight train.
The broken down train is causing delays of up to 25 minutes to services running between the stations, with disruption expected until 11pm.
A replacement road service for the Ipswich to Felixstowe line is in place to cover cancelled services.
Another locomotive is being used to move the stranded freight train.
