A MAN accused of raping and assaulting a 21-year-old woman has today been remanded in custody.
Jamie Scoulding, 22, of Hyperion Court, Ipswich, did not enter a plea in relation to the charges when he appeared before Magistrates in the town this morning.
Scoulding, who was not granted bail, is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court for another hearing on July 7.
He is alleged to have raped and assaulted a woman found naked in St Nicholas Street in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
