A MAN who was arrested in connection with an alleged rape in Ipswich in March has been re-bailed by detectives while they investigate the case.
The 34-year-old, who is from the town, was arrested on March 23 after a 17-year-old girl contacted the police, saying she had been raped.
The man - who was aged 33 when he was arrested - has now been told to return to Ipswich Police Station on Saturday June 19 pending further enquiries.
