A lorry fire near Braintree has closed one lane of the A120 eastbound.
It happened earlier this morning in Rayne between the Felsted turn-off and Panners Roundabout.
Traffic is queuing because of the fire and motorists in the area should expect delays.
Essex fire service were called to the incident just after 5am. They used two hose reels to put out the blaze.
