Entries are now open for the Redwings Horse Sanctuary show 2018 – held just outside Stowmarket.

The show, now in its ninth year, will take place at Topthorn Equestrian Centre on Sunday, May 13 – featuring a range of classes open to rescued horse or ponies, including Working Hunter, Veteran and Heavy Horse classes alongside traditional In-hand and Ridden showing classes.

All entry fees will go towards Redwings’ Amersham 10 fund – marking 10 years since the notorious rescue of over 100 horses and donkeys from Spindle Farm in Amersham.

Redwings Show organiser Jude Palmer said: “We hope that our schedule will continue to offer something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming lots of competitors, old and new to the show!

“In this special Amersham 10 commemorative year, we are delighted that our Rescue Classes will continue to showcase just what any rescued horse and pony can do given a second chance. Hopefully we will even have some of our own rehomed Amersham survivors compete to show just how far they have come since their rescue from such appalling conditions.”
