A MAN from Reydon who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit has been bailed.

The 44-year-old man was arrested following an incident on the A12 on Saturday.

Police were called around 9.30pm on Saturday by a member of the public who reported that a Citroen Saxo heading southbound on the A12 was weaving from one side of the road to the other. The Saxo was then in collision with a Ford Focus near the turning for Saxmundham.

The 44-year-old was arrested and taken into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed before being bailed to return to officers on Wednesday, September 26, pending further enquiries.

Police are continuing to ask anyone who may have seen any part of the incident, or the collision, to call the headquarters roads policing unit on 101.
