Fire crews have tackled a barn fire in Drinkstone this afternoon which involved asbestos.
The fire service was called to the blaze in Deadmans Lane at 1.58pm, and asked police to close the road while the three pumps from Elmswell, Bury and Stowmarket tackled the blaze.
Two further fire crews from Bury and Ixworth were mobilised to the incident once it was discovered that asbestos was involved.
Firefighters used two hose reels and two jets to fight the fire and the incident was under control by 3.34.
