A DRIVER who died after a collision caused his car to cross the central reservation of a dual carriageway has been named by police.Ian Shimwell, 39, of Tabors Avenue in Great Baddow, was killed after his Chrysler Voyager collided with a gold Peugeot 306 on the A130 at Rawreth, just south of Rettendon, Essex.

A DRIVER who died after a collision caused his car to cross the central reservation of a dual carriageway has been named by police.

Ian Shimwell, 39, of Tabors Avenue in Great Baddow, was killed after his Chrysler Voyager collided with a gold Peugeot 306 on the A130 at Rawreth, just south of Rettendon, Essex.

Five other people, including a trio of teenage boys, were also hurt in the crash, three of them seriously.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision, which happened at just before 2pm on Sunday.

Mr Shimwell was airlifted to Basildon Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
