A GRITTER was dispatched to the A12 in Suffolk today after diesel was spilt on the road.
Motorists reported patches of fuel along the carriageway between Seckford Hall, near Woodbridge, and the roundabout with Foxhall Road.
Police contacted Suffolk County Council, who gritted the road at around 9.30am to soak up the fuel and give vehicles extra grip.
A spokeswoman for the council said it was not known what caused the spillage.
