A VAN driver has been robbed today after stopping for a rest at a lay-by on a rural Suffolk road.
Train services at nearby Needham Market were stopped while police hunted for the robber.
The incident occurred at a lay-by on the B1113, near Baylham at around 4.15pm.
A man had parked up his white Mercedes Sprinter van in the rest area but when he got out a man approached him from behind and stole his money.
It is still unknown if the van driver was hurt in the ordeal or if he got a description of his attacker.
Suffolk police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 01473 613500.
