Robert Davanzo, 23, of Crix Green, Felsted, was arrested in Mill Road, Maldon, on Friday February 2.
He has been charged with dangerous driving in Maldon on February 2 and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal at addresses in Ashby Road, Witham in Kings Meadow Road in Colchester, Spring Sedge Close in Stanway and Eliot Way in Maldon between January 4 and February 2.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday February 5.
Three weeks ago, police issued a press appeal for Davanzo to come forward.
A second man has now been arrested in connection with the burglaries in Maldon and Colchester, following further police enquiries.
The 34-year-old man from Witham was detained earlier today on suspicion of burglaries at two homes in Kings Meadow Road, Colchester, and Eliot Way in Maldon, both of which happened on Friday, February 2.
He is in custody for questioning.
