RYE House Rockets' 2009 team go straight into Premier Trophy action with a home opener against 2008 finalists Birmingham on Sunday, March 15.

The Rockets are back to regular Saturday night action six days later with a visit from the re-launched Newport Wasps, whose 2008 season ended abruptly with the unfortunate passing of promoter Tim Stone.

Their new-look side is based around Mark Lemon, long-time Newport star Craig Watson and American ace Chris Kerr, with Jordan Frampton and former Rye captain Brent Werner thrown in for good measure.

Seven days later, it is the turn of 2008 League runners-up and KO Cup winners Somerset to visit Hoddesdon, and they bring with them new signing and former Grand Prix Challenge Finalist Steve Johnston.

Looking further ahead, arch-rivals King's Lynn will visit Rye in the Trophy on April 4, and will return in the League on August 8.

Scunthorpe - now fronted by former Grand Prix wildcard and 2008 Ace of Herts winner David Howe - are in town on April 18 in the Trophy and July 18 in the League.

Real fireworks can be expected on July 4 when defending Premier League champions and Trophy winners Edinburgh head south.

Other key dates at Rye include the staging of the World U-21 Championship qualifying round on Sunday, May 17 and the National League Riders Championship on Saturday, September 26.

Admission prices for th Rockets' home matches in 2009 will be adults �14, seniors �12 and children �4.
