FORMER Woodbridge Town and Ipswich Wanderers manager Colwyn Rowe has left his position as head coach of African nation Botswana.He has been head hunted and starts work on July 10 as technical manager/director of youth for one of Egypt's top clubs Al Ahly based in Cairo.

FORMER Woodbridge Town and Ipswich Wanderers manager Colwyn Rowe has left his position as head coach of African nation Botswana.

He has been head hunted and starts work on July 10 as technical manager/director of youth for one of Egypt's top clubs Al Ahly based in Cairo.

Rowe, who was brought up in Ipswich and ran the PASE scheme for a number of years, will be responsible for all youth players at Al Ahly from ages nine to 19.

Al Ahly have won the Egyptian Premier League for the last four seasons and are managed by Portuguese Manual Jose. They play at a stadium that holds over 74,000.
