A teacher who was caught in control of a vehicle in Witham while allegedly more than four times over the drink-drive limit has been charged.
Michelle Pearson, 44, of Chapel Street, Rowhedge, a village near Colchester, was arrested by police in Newland Street on Wednesday, August 16.
She was later charged with drink-driving after police say she failed a breath test, which allegedly showed 183 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Pearson is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
