A FLAVOUR of Suffolk life has been summed up in a nutshell for the next generation to examine.
Saxmundham residents helped to preserve the town’s history thanks to a joint venture between the local Ipswich Building Society and Saxmundham Museum.
The Society presented the finished collection to the museum in the High Street, where it will be displayed until reopened in 25 years.
The time capsule, in the shape of an acorn created by Saxmundham carpenter Albert Welford, was the idea of Society branch manager Shelley Curtis, who was keen to commemorate the Jubilee.
