Robert Butler was found in Hastings

Robert Butler, 34, is serving a seven-year and three-month sentence for conspiracy to commit burglary and driving offences.

He was found and detained by police in Hastings in Sussex and will now be returned to prison.

Earlier today police announced that they had found 34-year-old Robert Butler in Hastings shortly after midnight.

Butler is serving a four and a half year sentence for burglary.

Both men had been reported as missing on Saturday morning after they failed to attend a role call at the open prison.

Members of the public were advised not to approach the two men.
