Highways England has released details of planned new and ongoing work over the coming week, including a junction exit closure on the A12 at Colchester.

The agency has published details of schemes it is carrying out between May 28 and June 3, but bosses warn these are subject change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M11: Cyclical grass cutting works on the roadside of the M11 starts Monday, May 28, lasting two weeks, weekdays only, with working hours of 9am to 5pm. Single lane closures will be in place past the areas being worked on.

M11 junctions 6 (M25) to 9 (A11): An ongoing programme of work to repair damaged safety barriers along the M11 will continue this week. Single lane closures will be in place past the work area from 9pm to 5am, weeknights only.

M11 junctions 8 Stansted Airport to Newmarket/A11: Work to repair sections of the M11 northbound will take place between junctions 8 and 9 on Tuesday and Wednesday night, with working hours between 9pm and 6am. A full road closure will be in place and a clearly signed diversion will direct road users onto the A120, A10 and A505, rejoining the M11 at junction 10.

M11 and A14, Cambridgeshire: An ongoing programme of work to repair damaged safety barriers and repair sections of the road surface along the M11 and A14 in various locations continues this week. Working hours are 8pm to 6am, weeknights only. Single lane closures will be in place past the area being worked on.

A12 junctions 15 to 12, Mountnessing: Work to improve journeys by resurfacing sections of the A12 continues this week. The southbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 15 and 12 on weeknights between 8pm and 6am with a clearly signed diversion route via the B1002.

A12 and A120, Essex: An ongoing programme of work to repair damaged safety barriers along the A12 and A120 in various locations continues this week, with working hours of 8pm to 6am, weeknights only. Single lane closures will be in place past the area being worked on.

A12 junctions 19 to 28 Chelmsford to Colchester: Work to improve road user safety along the A12 northbound between Chelmsford and Colchester continues this week. The northbound carriageway between junctions 19 and 28 will be closed on weeknights between 8pm and 6am. The road will also be closed on Saturday and Sunday nights. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A138, A130, A131, and A120 to Marks Tey and along the B1408, Cymbeline Way and the A134. Surface repairs will also take place within these closures.

A12 junction 27, Colchester: Repairs to the bridge decks carrying the A12 over junction 27 begin this week until late September. The junction 27 exit will be closed between 8pm and 6am on Tuesday 29 May. A signed diversion will be in place via junction 26 along the A1124, London Road and Cymbelline Way.

A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: Construction work on the new A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon scheme is underway. We are currently carrying out a variety of tasks for which we need to close lanes or carriageways on the A1, A14 and some local roads at times, usually overnight between 8pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will always be in place for closures.
