A festive Ferris wheel was once again the top attraction at a Suffolk village’s annual Christmas fair, organisers have said.
Stall holders at the three-day extravaganza in Lavenham this weekend have reported their highest takings to date, making the event a huge success.
Bruce Goddard, a member of the organising committee, said: “It’s gone great. We have had no incidents to report, traffic has been fine, people have had a great time and the weather has been kind to us.”
He added: “The atmosphere has been great. Lavenham is an angelic place anyway so it lends itself to something like this, it’s really magical. It does get Christmas off to a good start and we have got Santa Claus himself with us.”
Mr Goddard said the committee had this year invested in more entertainment for visitors, with 12 different musical acts playing over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well more than 70 stalls.
