A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after a serious car crash in the early hours of the morning.
The accident happened at about 12.15am in Centenary Way, Little Clacton, when a green Jaguar XK overturned close to the junction with London Road.
A 29-year-old passenger from Corringham was rushed to Colchester General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old man from the Slough area, was also taken to hospital for treatment but was released.
He was later arrested by police on suspicion of dangerous driving and is being held in custody.
Police investigating the incident do not think any other vehicles were involved.
