Customers were evacuated from a town supermarket after building work set off a fire alarm.
Staff and shoppers in the Co-op in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, had to leave the building when dust created by workmen installing a new door at the rear of the shop set off a fire sensor.
The fire service received a call at 9.24am and one crew from Felixstowe attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed it was a minor incident.
She said: “The fire alarm went off so clearly we have to evacuate, even if we know it is a false alarm, but people were back in very quickly.”
