THE sister of a Suffolk schoolgirl who was allegedly raped after she had been binge drinking has described finding her half-naked and apparently unconscious.

The girl said she had been left in charge of her younger sister while their parents were away and she had become concerned during the evening when her sister didn't answer her mobile phone.

She had rung around her 15-year-old sister's friends and was eventually told she had been at the skateboard park near the Brandon Leisure Centre.

The girl had gone to the skateboard park and had found her sister lying half naked on her back. “I just saw her lying there. I just ran over to her and tried to wake her up because I thought she was unconscious. I kept shouting at her to wake up. She opened her eyes but she wasn't aware of what was going on,” she said.

She said she noticed that her sister's top had been pushed up to her shoulders revealing her bra and she was wearing nothing below her waist apart from her socks and trainers. “She was covered in mud and had leaves and grass in her hair,” she added.

She told the court that she looked around the area and found her sister's clothes and managed to dress her before taking her home in a friend's car.

She said her sister had been crying and rambling and had mentioned someone called “Dean”.

Before Ipswich Crown Court is Dean Royal, 18, of Thetford Road, Brandon who has denied rape.

The court has heard the alleged victim had gone out with a friend on the night in question and had drunk an alcopop and half a litre of vodka at some swings at the Leisure Centre in Brandon.

During the evening she ended up near the skateboard park where she was allegedly raped by Royal who had been part of the group drinking at the swings.

After the girl had been taken home by her sister police were called and she claimed that Royal had raped her.

She underwent a medical examination but it had to be halted when she became too upset for it to continue.

After his arrest Royal denied having any sexual activity with the girl.

Cross-examined by Royal's barrister Steven Dyble, the alleged victim's sister agreed that her sister hadn't complained to her of being raped by Royal or having sex with him. “Not until police officers arrived,” she said.

The trial continues today .
