A power plant employee has made the move from office to stage with a series of pantomime performances in the lead-up to Christmas.
Nina Woodcock, a training assistant at Sizewell B, was able to pursue her theatrical aspirations with a starring role as Widow Twankey in Aladdin at The Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft.
“This is a million miles from my day job scheduling training courses for colleagues at Sizewell B but was such a fun opportunity to be part of something that I let myself get talked into auditioning by a good friend who was the Fairy Godmother at last year’s Christmas performance at The Seagull,” she said.
Nina, who developed a thirst for acting while at Kirkley Middle School in Lowestoft, was cheered on by her family and had help learning her lines from her 18-year-old son.
Her family have also bought tickets for the show’s finale taking place today.
