SIZEWELL B power station has returned to service this morning after an outage occurred in the early hours.
A spokesman for the nuclear power station news Leiston on the Suffolk coast said: “Sizewell B returned to service after its very short outage today at 02:10, and is currently raising load.”
The station unexpectedly shut down earlier this week following a fault.
Overnight work was carried out to discover the cause of the shut down and it was found the automatic safety systems were triggered when an electrical unit was reconnected following routine maintenance work.
