A sleeping man was awoken by a burglar in his house whom he confronted before the offender left with jewellery worth several hundred pounds.
The burglary happened between 7am and 7.45am on Monday in Cliff Road, Ipswich, when items including a nine carat gold Accurist watch, a solid gold chain and jade drop earrings were stolen. A wallet was as lo stolen.
The burglar is described as a white man, about 5ft 6ins tall and of average build. He is thought to be between 30 and 40 years old, dark shaven, and wearing a dark bomber jacket and dark trousers.
