Musical ambassadors from St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir have enjoyed a tour covering France, Belgium and Germany.
The group was taking part in the Choirs Euro Tour 2015, which saw them perform in seven concerts at various venues.
Chairman Tony Farr said it was best described as a ‘tour of moments’, such as the personal poignancy when they sang The Soldier at the Suffolk memorial at Le Cateau. The Soldier by Rupert Brooke was arranged for the choir by Ben Mason and its debut was at the Menin Gate memorial in Ypres, Belgium.
Mr Farr said: “There are so many memories of a truly magnificent tour that we now have to put to one side and prepare for our concerts with the Melody Girls of Ukraine in late September.”
