A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Essex.

Essex police were called to reports of an accident on Colchester Road in St Osyth just after 2pm.

Officers closed the road in both directions after discovering a Peugeot 307 and a Vauxhall Astra had collided and suffered front end damage.

An Essex police spokesman said: “Ambulance and paramedics also attended and treated a female passenger before taking her to hospital. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

“The road remained closed while the vehicles were recovered and fuel and debris was cleared from the carriageway.”
