TWO Royal mail post boxes have been stolen from villages near Bungay.

One was taken from Wash Lane at St Peter South Elmham, between 3pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday.

A Suffolk police spokesman said: “The post box was smashed out of a purpose built brick pillar and taken.”

Earlier on Saturday a similar post box was taken across the county border in Norfolk.

It was stolen from the junction of Norwich Road and Darrow Green Road.
